Man arrested after fatal shooting at Nacogdoches apartment complex

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Officers responded to a shooting on Sunday and found a man dead inside his apartment. According to a release from the Nacogdoches Police Department, a 911 caller reported a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 100 block of East Seale Street at about 4:22 a.m. Officers arrived to find Ladarius Hogan, 27, dead inside an apartment, police said. Daquarius Zydale Hunt, 19, of Nacogdoches, was identified as a suspect, and police located him at a residence in the 3000 block of East Main Street at about 6:40 a.m. Police and SWAT worked for more than two hours to negotiate with Hunt, and at about 8:56 a.m. he was taken into custody, authorities said. Hunt has been booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a charge of murder. Investigators were still on scene working the case as of about 2:30 p.m.
