The Texas Department of Public Safety says a Lumberton man died after he was struck by a vehicle on Thursday evening. Troopers say at about 7:30, Terry McDonald (unknown age) walked onto the northbound lanes of Highway 69, just south of the Kountze-Silsbee wye, and he was hit by a Toyota Tundra pickup truck. McDonald was rushed by ambulance to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where he later died. The name of the pickup truck driver was not released.
