Funeral services set for Audrii Danielle Cunningham

Funeral services have now been set for Audrii Danielle Cunningham. The 11-year-old Livingston girl was murdered and her body, with a large rock tied to her, was dumped into the Trinity River below the Highway 59 bridge. Her accused killer, 42-year-old Don Steven McDougal, is in the Polk County Jail charged with Capital Murder. Her obituary described her as “an extraordinary child that touched the lives of everyone who she knew.” It goes on to say that she “was a happy, loving child that enjoyed things like singing and dancing. She was an artist and loved to paint; some of her artwork hangs in her school at Creekside Elementary where she was a 5th grader.” It also said that she loved animals, especially her dogs and cats. The child is survived by her mother, Cassie Matthews and father, Joshua Lee Cunningham, along with one brother and one sister. Private services will be Friday, March 1st at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Livingston. The obituary contained a touching quote from Winnie the Pooh which said “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever”
