KTRE in Lufkin is reporting that a Lufkin pediatrician who has routinely practiced medicine here in Jasper has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault following a January 17th wreck that killed a man and injured a woman.
It happened on College Drive on the south side of Lufkin.
Lufkin Police say 65-year-old George Fidone was driving a Mercedes Benz when he collided with a Kia sedan. The crash killed the driver, 24-year-old DeMarcus Hadnot and the passenger, 24-year-old Paige Turner, was flown by medical helicopter to a Tyler Hospital.
