Liberty County teacher charged with a child sex crime in Polk County

Polk County Today is reporting that a man who is a teacher in Liberty County has been charged with a child sex crime in Polk County. Following an investigation by Onalaska Police and the Polk County Sheriff’s Department, they arrested 39-year old Jahmall Le’Sean Thomas, of Dayton, and he has been charged with Improper Relationship between Educator/Student. His bond was set at $75,000.00. According to investigators, Thomas picked up the child, took her to a location in Polk County where he performed sexual acts on her in the back of his vehicle, and he then drove the child home. Thomas works for Hardin ISD, which covers northeast Liberty County, but it’s not known which school he teaches at. Hardin ISD officials have confirmed that he was placed on administrative leave following his arrest.
