A man died last Saturday as a result of a Leesville house fire that authorities believe may have been started by unsafe heating practices. Savage Forks Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire on Jan. 27 in the 200 block of Kyle Lane in Leesville, where they found the body of the 73-year-old resident in a bedroom. The Vernon Parish Coroner's Office has not released the name of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
