The Calcasieu Ranger District Vernon Unit is planning to conduct a prescribed burn on Compartment 132 which began yesterday. This compartment is northeast of Pitkin, LA, and runs along Hwy 463 in Vernon Parish. The Kisatchie Ranger District plans to conduct a prescribed burn on Compartment 62 today.
