BEAUREGARD PARISH, La. (KPLC) - A 71-year-old man is in custody after a large amount of meth and Viagra was found during a traffic stop, according to authorities.
Leon Angel of Alamogordo, New Mexico, is jailed in Beauregard Parish on the following counts:
- Possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II drug
- Possession of a Schedule I drug
- Sale/Distribution/Possession of a legend drug
Around 3:25 this afternoon, deputies with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office pulled over a vehicle and noticed signs of possible criminal activity, BPSO said. Deputies deployed K9 Brick and alerted to the presence of drugs.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found the following:
- Approximately 3.5 oz. (99.2g) of methamphetamine
- 50 tablets of Viagra
- Approximately 13 grams of marijuana
- $1,000 in U.S. currency
Glenn was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish jail.

His work, alongside his handler and the entire K9 Division, plays a critical role in protecting the citizens of Beauregard Parish,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
