Kirbyville shines with three home runs and a no-hitter in sectionals

The Kirbyville Little League 9-10 year old All-Stars hosted the Channelview All-Stars on Tuesday evening. It was the second game for Kirbyville Little Leaguers in the Minor Sectionals. Channelview started strong, scoring three runs from walks in the first inning. However, Kirbyville answered back with an astounding 20 runs in their half of the inning. Ella Diaz, Miya Walters, Tynzleigh Barrow, and Olive Freeman each hit in-the-park home runs, driving the team's impressive offensive display. Maura was the star pitcher for Kirbyville, throwing a no-hitter and shutting down Channelview's offense for the remainder of the game. Kirbyville maintained their dominant lead, ending the game in the third inning with a final score of 23 to 3. Next up, Bridge City will face Channelview on Wednesday night in Kirbyville. The Kirbyville All-Stars are set to play the winner of that game on Friday, June 5th at 7:00pm.
