Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department announced late Saturday that a resident of Kirbyville had been charged with assaulting family members.
Sheriff Chuck Havard said officers were dispatched to a home on County Road 480 regarding an assault.
Havard said following the investigation officers went to Justice of the Peace and obtained a warrant charging Warren Stallworth, 74 with Injury to a Disabled to a Disable Individual, Assault Family Violence, Impeding Breathing and Interference with an Emergency Request for Assistance and at last word, Stallworth remained in the Jasper County Jail.
