Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft and his deputies are investigating a case they say involves a 13 year old boy, who apparently stole three cars in one day before finally getting stuck on a muddy road, resulting in his capture.
The investigation began on Tuesday, when officers were notified of an abandoned vehicle on Highway 10 and Webster Miracle Road, near Pitkin, which is southeast of Leesville. Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen from a home on Marlow Road, not far from there.
However, later in the day it was determined that the teen had not only taken the vehicle near Pitkin, but also two other including a GMC pickup truck, which he got stuck on Bailey Road near Highway 10, where he was taken into custody after receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
The name of the suspect was not released due to his age.
