RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - State Fire Marshals reported that there was a tragic house fire on August 22, in the Sharp community of Lena. Just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Flatwoods Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Neal BeeBee Road. Deputies said that two people, a 26-year-old woman and her 2-year-old son, died in the fire and that a man and 4-year-old boy were hospitalized. An investigation is ongoing and authorities said more information will be released as it becomes available.
