A house in north Jasper County was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning. The Angelina River Fire Department was dispatched out shortly after 5:00, when it was reported that the house was fully engulfed in flames. The fire occurred at the Kurt & Michelle Balla residence located on County Road 51, just southwest of the Sam Rayburn Dam. Fortunately, it was reported that no one was in the house when the blaze broke out and no injuries resulted from the incident. Meanwhile, there’s no word on a possible cause of the fire.
