One person had serious injuries following a Thursday afternoon crash in nearby Tyler County. It occurred shortly after 4:00 on Highway 190, about 3 miles west of Dam B and the intersection of Farm to Market Road 92. Both the Dam B and Woodville Fire Departments responded and arrived to find that a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck had collided with the driver side of a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, and both vehicles had came to rest off of the highway. Firefighters had to use the jaws-of-life to rescue the driver from the van. However, a passenger was able to make it out on his own. The driver of the pickup truck, 55-year-old Rick Klinoff, of Jasper, said he was headed west when the van pulled over and then made a u-turn in the highway. Klinoff was not injured in the accident. DPS Sergeant Shana Clark later identified the van driver as 21-year-old Greyson Hurst, of Woodville. Hurst was flown from the scene by medical helicopter to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. An unidentified passenger in the van was transported by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
