Motorists traveling between Jasper and Zavalla on Highway 63 reported thick smoke was across the highway, on Tuesday, limiting visibility.
Word is that the measure is part of a controlled burn that is being performed by the US Forest Service within the Angelina National Forest.
Those traveling in the area should use extreme caution.
