SHELBY COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office announced two guilty pleas in unrelated child sex assault cases.

Both men entered their guilty pleas in 273rd District Judge Jim Payne’s court on Thursday.

James Eddy Risinger pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and will serve 30 years, District Attorney Karren Price said.

Price said Risinger’s victim was between 7 and 10 years old. Risinger will not be eligible for parole until his mid- to late-90s.

In a separate and unrelated case, Lloyd Christopher Belrose pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and will serve 50 years, Price said.

Belrose’s victims were preschool-age, Price noted. She said an additional three more victims were found during the course of the investigation. Belrose will be eligible for parole after 25 years.

“Thank you to the work by the Shelby County Advocacy Center and the Shelby County Sheriff’s office and District Attorney’s Investigator, DJ Dickerson on these cases and in service to these families and victims,” Price said.
