TEXARKANA, Ark. (KSLA) — Texarkana, Ark., firefighters found someone dead in a vacant house after bringing a fire under control Monday (Feb. 12). The Fire Department received a call just before 7 p.m. about heavy smoke coming from a dwelling in the 900 block of East 9th Street. The structure was on fire when firefighters arrived. The fire marshal is on his way to the scene. Fire investigators do not yet know how the fire started. The home had no utilities. Firefighters also did not know anyone was in the house. The victim has not yet been identified.
