A pickup truck went up in flames on Thursday afternoon, but the driver was uninjured.
The Jasper Fire Department was sent to North Main Street just south of Martin Luther King at about 2:30 where the engine compartment and cab of an older model Dodge Dakota was fully engulfed.
Jasper Police said the owner, Albert Adams III, told them that he ran out of gas and then the truck caught on fire.
Jasper firefighters quickly tapped out the flames and the truck was hauled away by Jasper Xxon Towing & Recovery.
