Fire destroyed a large travel trailer in the Brookeland area late Wednesday morning. The call came in at about 11:00 reporting the blaze at 411 County Road 230, just northeast of the intersection of Highway 96 and Recreational Road 255. Lake Rayburn Fire Chief Brett Holloway said it was a 35-foot travel trailer and it was already fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The flames were brought under control about 25 minutes later. Fortunately, no one was inside and there were no injuries. The cause of the blaze is not known.
