HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A woman from Eustace is in jail after allegedly shooting her boyfriend to death on Monday. According to the release from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Patricia Ann Childs, 61, was arrested Monday night after she called to report that she had shot her boyfriend, Troy Alldredge, who she said was not breathing. The release said Allredge was found dead at the residence in the 15000 block of Morning Star Circle with “obvious gunshot wounds.” The man was just outside the home, the release said, and Childs was sitting on the floor of the home with a handgun. Childs was checked by EMS and taken to a nearby hospital at her request, according to the release. Once she was released from the hospital, she was arrested and charged with murder. Responders included Henderson County deputies, UT EMS, Henderson County District Attorney’s Office, and Texas Rangers. Childs is being held in the Henderson County Jail on a $1 million bond.
