GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB) - The inmate who escaped from the Rapides Parish Courthouse has been found and is back in custody. According to the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office, a GPSO deputy was at the Rapides Parish Courthouse picking up three female inmates who had pending charges in Grant Parish, according to GPSO. One of the inmates, Juliana Elizabeth Alexander, ran from the deputy while being escorted down a stairwell around 11:05 a.m. Wednesday morning (October 2). A Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Deputy found Alexander with the help of a trained K-9 used for tracking. Alexander is a 27-year-old woman from the Deville area. She has an outstanding warrant for arrest for failing to appear for trial and unauthorized use of a moveable.
