ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) — A child involved in an emergency at a daycare north of Diboll on Tuesday has died.
Sheriff Tom Selman confirmed the death Wednesday.
Selman said Building Blocks Academy in Burke had an emergency on Tuesday, and a 16-month-old child was taken to a hospital. The child died before midnight Tuesday. Selman said no foul play is suspected.
Selman said deputies were called in to assist with the emergency and remained on the scene to document it. Selman said the daycare has cooperated with the investigation. The case is under review by the district attorney’s office.
