SHREVEPORT La. - An 86-year-old woman was assaulted while delivering food in Shreveport Saturday night in the 7300 block of Camelback Drive according to the Shreveport Police Department.
Police say the woman suffered from multiple visible lacerations and broken bones. She was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital and is expected to recover.
Police say Joe White unexpectedly attacked the woman after she delivered food to his mother.
White barricaded himself inside the home before police arrived, but officers were able to safely take him into custody.
White was booked at the Shreveport City Jail and charged with one count of second-degree Battery.
