Beech Grove Fire Chief Jamie Gunter says a driver was ejected and injured in a late Saturday night rollover crash. It happened shortly before 11:00 in the construction zone of the Highway 190 Dam B Bridge. Gunter said firefighters and paramedics arrived to find the driver laying on the eastbound lane of the highway, and the car he was driving was off of the roadway and upside-down. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark said 40-year-old Jamie Powers, of Newton, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala westbound when the car experienced a mechanical problem. The car went off the highway and down an embankment where it overturned. Powers was transported by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
