A DeRidder man is charged with first-degree murder in connection with a February homicide in Opelousas, according to the Opelousas Police Department.
Lenny Bruce, 19, was taken into custody in Leesville Thursday and transported to Opelousas, according to police. DeRidder police, Leesville police, and the Vernon and Beauregard sheriff’s offices assisted in his apprehension.
Bruce was booked on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal carrying of a firearm, according to Opelousas police.
Corey Rosette Jr., was found deceased from gunshot wounds in his home on February 14, according to Opelousas police. Bruce is the second suspect arrested in connection with Rosette’s death.
