LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A DeRidder man has been arrested after being accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl, according to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office says they received a complaint regarding the incident and, during their investigation, interviewed the victim who provided details on what happened.
A warrant was later issued for Elijah Corvon Ray Wiggins, 19, for one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Wiggins was arrested in Beauregard Parish on June 5 and was transferred to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail.
Wiggins was previously arrested as part of an investigation into “organized criminal activity” at DeRidder High School. He pleaded guilty to home invasion and was sentenced to five years suspended and three years of supervised probation.
