CPSO: Child raped, left for dead; Stonewall man arrested

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

SHREVEPORT, La. -- A Stonewall man who is accused of sexually assaulting a child who was left for dead is behind bars.

Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies arrested Lucas Logan, 31, and booked him into Caddo Correctional Center on charges of first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder. He's held without bond.

Logan was identified as a suspect after deputies -- dispatched just before 2 a.m. Saturday to Farmridge Road in Keithville in response to a sexual assault -- found a young child who had been sexually assaulted and was lying lifeless at the house.

The victim was taken by Caddo fire district personnel to the hospital. The child's injuries were described as life-threatening.

This is not the first time Logan has been involved in a violent offense. He was arrested in May 2024 for domestic abuse aggravated assault after pulling a shotgun on two people, including the mother of his child, while the child was present. No one was injured.

Logan pleaded guilty in September in a plea agreement with the Caddo District Attorney’s Office. District Judge Chris Victory sentenced Logan to two years in prison with credit for time served. He was also ordered to take anger management classes, which he had already started, and have no contact with the victim.

Logan pleaded guilty to simple battery in 2015.

Other entries in the Caddo court records also include arrests DWI, a drug offense, disturbing the peace, felony theft and other traffic violations.
