COUSHATTA, La. — A Coushatta man was killed early New Year's Day in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 49 north of Natchitoches.
Louisiana State Police Troop E said Chad White, 42, died after his 2025 Kia left the roadway around 1:11 a.m. Investigators reported the vehicle struck a contractor arrow board and overturned, ejecting White.
Police stated White was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. A passenger, who was restrained, sustained only minor injuries.
