Cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, other drugs and cash/guns seized from businessman

A well-known Hardin County businessman is facing ten separate drug charges following his arrest, according to Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis.

The jail roster shows Brian Keith Curtis, 40, of the Silsbee area, was arrested Friday and remains in jail on bonds that total $1.3 million following a Sheriff's Office investigation.

Sheriff Davis says the investigation is linked to the trafficking of drugs and contraband within Hardin County.

Investigators served a search warrant Friday at 1450 Cooks Road in Silsbee. The location is a combination barndominium that serves as a residence and a business.

They seized a large quantity of assorted contraband, including more than 50 pounds of marihuana, more than three ounces of powder cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), homemade THC gummies, ketamine, mushrooms, and prescription drug tablets. Several suspected illegal firearms, including one reported stolen from another agency, were also confiscated, along with a large amount of cash.

Curtis is charged with the following offenses:

Four counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, 1st-degree Felony ($200,000 bond each)

Possession of Marihuana, 2nd-degree Felony (over 50 pounds) ($50,000 bond)

Four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd-degree Felony ($100,000 bond each)

One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd -degree Felony ($50,000 bond)

Bonds total $1,300,000.00

"This is an ongoing investigation involving multiple persons, both customers and suppliers," says Sheriff Davis. "We anticipate more charges, as this case is in the very early stages."
