The Most Reverend David Toups, Bishop of the Diocesee of Beaumont announced on Monday that Reverend Regimon George had been chosen to serve as priest in the Jasper Area, replacing Father Ron Foshage who was recently transferred to a church in Sulphur, Louisiana.
Reverend George currently serves as reverend at the Little Flower of Jesus Parish in Port Arthur but will soon serve St. Michael's Catholic Church here in Jasper, Our Lady of La Salette in Kirbyville, St. Raymonds at Lake Rayburn, Our Lady of Pines in Woodville and the Toledo Village Mission.
The departure of Father Ron Foshage, which is scheduled to occur in July was announced earlier this year by Reverend William Kaliyaden, Provincial Superior of the Missionaries of La Salette, Provice of Mary, Mother and the Americas.
Father Ron served the Jasper Area for well over 36 years, not only tending to the spiritual needs of the Catholic Faith, but all people of the community.
