Beaumont police say the search for a missing three-year-old boy at an apartment complex off MLK Parkway led to the discovery of the toddler at the bottom of the complex’s pool, and despite lifesaving efforts, he died at the hospital.
The search began shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday at the Edge Estates Apartments, 5230 South MLK Parkway, when BPD responded to a 911 call reporting a missing toddler. The child was found at the bottom of the apartment complex’s pool. Officers performed lifesaving procedures until EMS arrived and transported the child to the hospital where he died.
