A motorcyclist was seriously injured and later died following an early Sunday evening crash. It happened on Farm to Market Road 252, just north of the Erin Community between Jasper and Kirbyville.
The Texas Department of Public Safety later released a report stating that at approximately 5:51 p.m., a 2016 Can-Am Spyder was traveling south on Farm to Market Road 252 and left the road, struck a culvert, and overturned multiple times.
Troopers said the rider, 76-year-old Connie Kyle, of Jasper, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time after his arrival.
Kyle was a longtime employee of First National Bank in Jasper, which is now First State Bank.
