Beaumont police have arrested a 17-old-homicide suspect on charges of murder in the shooting of a man found dead in his car. Investigators obtained a murder warrant for Kuyler Jeanmard and BPD detectives, along with a number of officers and AFT Special Agents, arrested the teen at about 7 p.m. Monday in the 4800 block of Concord. He's charged with killing Joshua Rogers on June 4 in the 4000 block of Oak Grove. First responders found Rogers' body inside an SUV that appeared to have crashed on a street off Lucas near the Eastex Freeway. It began shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday when Beaumont police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 4000 block of Oak Grove Place. While officers were in route, they received information that it was possibly a crashed vehicle with an unresponsive driver. Police tried to help the driver, but EMS arrived and said the man was dead. First responders discovered the victim had been shot.
