MINDEN, La. - The Minden St. Jude Auction continues through Sunday. This year's theme is Champions for a Cure to honor the 250th birthday of the United States and the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The auction started as a local radio broadcast on KASO 1240 AM and has evolved into a four-day telethon and raffle. Over its history, the event has raised more than $32 million. Minden currently holds the record for the highest per capita donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the country.
Last year, the 2025 auction raised $2,320,036. All proceeds support St. Jude, a premier center for pediatric cancer research founded by Danny Thomas. The hospital is notable for ensuring that families never pay for treatments not covered by insurance.
Guests can visit the Minden Civic Center in downtown Minden this weekend. The event will be broadcast live on KASO-AM 1240/KBEF-FM 104.5, Optimum cable channel 11, or livestream through the website mindenstjude.com.
