SHREVEPORT, La. - A big rig driver from Texas died early Monday morning in a crash on Interstate 20 that blocked traffic for hours. The Caddo Coroner's Office identified the victim as Raymond Lofland Jr., 67, of Bedford, Texas. Lofland died at the scene. The crash happened just before 6 a.m. on a stretch of the interstate west of the Pines Road exit. Shreveport police said Lofland was westbound in his 18-wheeler when he and the driver of a westbound Kia collided, causing the tractor-trailer to roll over. The Kia driver was not injured.
