CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA) - A driver is dead after a wreck that happened just after 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11. According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, a full-size pickup truck was traveling south on Shreveport Blanchard Highway (LA 173) when the driver, 27-year-old Jacob Jerome, veered off the road and hit a ditch. This caused the truck to flip multiple times before landing on a metal fence. Jerome was pronounced dead on the scene by Caddo Fire District 1 at 9:54 p.m. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
