1 dead, 2 injured after car crosses into oncoming traffic east of Lufkin

ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A man died and two others sustained minor injuries after a three-vehicle wreck on Highway 103 on Saturday morning. According to a report from DPS, a Honda Civic was traveling east on Highway 103 at about 9:45 a.m., when it crossed over into the westbound lane. The Honda first struck an oncoming Chevrolet wrecker then also hit a Toyota Highlander, the report says. The driver of the Honda, Dustin Blalock, 40, of Huntington, was pronounced dead at the scene, DPS said. The driver of the Chevrolet, Mark Steinhardt, 26, of Temple, was treated on-scene by EMS and released. The driver of the Toyota, Lisa Zela, 52, of Bronson, was taken to a hospital in Lufkin for non-life-threatening injuries. DPS troopers are still investigating this crash.
