MARION COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - One person has been arrested after a fatal shooting in Marion County.
The shooting took place Monday just before 8 p.m., according to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office release.
Deputies, along with Jefferson police officers and the Department of Public Safety responded to the scene on FM 248.
One person died at the scene, and another, Xavier Zachery, 22, of Jefferson, was arrested, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The sheriff’s office said the Texas Rangers will be assisting in the investigation.
