SHREVEPORT, La. - The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for the person who shot at one of its patrol deputies Wednesday morning in Shreveport.
KTBS 3 has learned the deputy was trying to perform a traffic stop in front of the Colony Square Apartments in the 3000 block of Colquitt Road around 12:30 a.m., when a man got out of the car and shot at the deputy.
The suspect then took off running into the apartment complex. The suspect was not found in the search area, but KTBS 3 is told investigators are working to identify them.
The deputy was not injured.
The Shreveport Police Department was called in to help search for the suspected shooter. Drones were even deployed to assist in the operation.
At 2 a.m., as many as 30 units were on the scene.
