- Janet Marie Lewis passed away unexpectedly in DeRidder, LA, on October 16th. Visitation will be Sunday, October 19 from 5pm-8pm at Sugartown Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will be Monday, October 20 at 1 pm at Sugartown Pentecostal Church. Interment will be at Smyrna Cemetery. Rev. George Lee Glass will officiate.
- Dempsey Parden came face to face with his Lord and Savior on October 17, 2025, at the age of 87. A funeral service will be held at Dry Creek Baptist Church today at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service in the Smyrna Cemetary.
- On Friday October 17, 2025, Jenny Cedars Lawrence passed away at the age of 74. Funeral services for Jenny Cedars Lawrence will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Leesville. Visitation will be held today from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
- Floyd Junior "Wee" Paddy, 73, of Leesville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in his home on October 17, 2025. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana. A private burial will follow at Bris er Cemetery.
- Lee Vincent McLaughlin, Sr., 68, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed away on October 15, 2025, in DeRidder. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 2:00PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM, also at Labby Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley S. Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.
