A public viewing will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 5:00 pm until 8:00pm, A funeral service will take place at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the service in Cooper Cemetery.
- Ricky Saunders, 63, of Winona, TX, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026. A graveside service will be held at Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin, Louisiana on Thursday, May 7 at 1pm. Bro. Mike Boone will officiate.
- Dana Kay Booth, who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the age of 64. A celebration of her life will be held at Turning Point Apostolic Church on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, also at Turning Point Apostolic Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Brother Justin Hancock and Brother Jon Hair will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.

- Frances Kay Harding Moss of Leesville, Louisiana, passed from this life to her heavenly home on May 4, 2026; she was 89. A wake for Frances will be held Friday, May 8th at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Leesville, Louisiana from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 12:15 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Adam Travis at 1:00 p.m. Following the Mass, burial will be at Cooper Baptist Church Cemetery in Pickering, Louisiana
- Maria Rosario Ortiz returned home to the lord on April 14, 2026, in Milam, Texas at the age of 86. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
- Zachary Scott passed away on April 30, 2026, in Lake Charles Louisiana. He was 76 years old. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Ronald Young will officiate the service. A repass will be held following the service for family and friends to gather and share memories of Zach.
