- Benny Dean Carter was born December 5, 1946, in Conroe, Texas, to Billie Dean and Flossie Carter. He entered into Heaven's gates on March 19, 2026, at the age of 79 in Jasper, Texas. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Jasper County Cowboy Church in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm with the service following at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Jasper County Cowboy Church Cemetery.
- Joe Jerry Dewil, 82, was born on August 10, 1943, and entered into rest on March 21, 2026. He was a lifelong resident of the Toro/Rattan community except for the two years he served his country in the United States Army. He spent over five decades of life in the logging industry, primarily as a truck driver. His most cherished role was that of Paw Paw. Visitation will be held on March 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (Toro community) with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
- James L. Brewer passed away on March 17, 2026 in Leesville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. A graveside service will be held March 25th at 11:00 A.M. at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.

Funeral services will be held on March 26, 2026 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder at 2PM. Burial will be immediately after the funeral service at Smyrna Cemetery
- Vroni Lynn Thornock (Gautsche), who passed peacefully March 6, 2026, in Leesville, Louisiana, at the age of 79. A memorial service for Vroni will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Jeane's in Leesville from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
