- Debra Willson Anderson, age 71, of Brookeland, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Rayburn Health Care Center in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. Committal services will follow at Liberty Hill Memorial Garden on Hwy. 147 North.
- Morris "Payne" Major Sr., who left us on March 4, 2026, at the age of 86. Funeral services to honor Payne's life will be held today with Visitation from 9:00 a.m. — 11:00 at New Hope CME Church. The funeral will follow at 11:00am in the chapel of New Hope CME Church. Pastor Quincey Major will be officiating the services. Burial will follow the service at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 1:30 pm. A repast will be held at the hall of New Hope CME Church at 3:30 pm.
- Herman Lee Erwin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 89, in Rosepine, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville today, at 11:00 A.M., officiated by Rev. Mark Christian, alongside Rev. Gerald Milstead and Rev. Paul Webb. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. today, and continue until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mitchell cemetery.
- Linda Sue Dace Canoy, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Leesville Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. Wesley S. Manning officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Baptist Cemetery in Leesville. Visitation will be held tomorrow from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
- Rex "Butch" Joseph Angelle, Jr., 75, of Lafayette, LA passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Visitation will be Monday, March 16 from 11 am-1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, March 16 at 1 pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rosepine Cemetery. Rev. Gary Bankson will officiate.
