- Richard "Rick" F. Lyons Jr., 71, of Austin, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Austin, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church of Jasper. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Frank Ealand Hall at First Methodist Church.
- David C. Kunkel, 72, of Jasper passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in Jasper. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home of Jasper. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
- Visitation for Verna Lee Rutherford will be Sunday, July 19, 2026, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, LA. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 19, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Florien, LA.
- Glenda Jean Funderburk Dowden, age 79, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Leesville today, from 10-11 a.m. A Celebration of Glenda's life will follow, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Leesville and will be officiated by Bro. Darin Worthington. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
- Paulette Kent Flack, a beloved mother, wife, and friend, who departed this world on July 11, 2026, at the age of 80. A service to celebrate Paulette's life will be held tomorrow at 2:00PM in Myers Colonial Funeral Home chapel. A visitation will be held tomorrow from 12:00PM until the time of service in the chapel. Service will be officiated by Brother Garrett Fuselier and Brother Garrett Paul Fuselier.
- Hirl Wesley Haynes, Jr. passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the age of 86. Funeral services will be held tomorrow, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1210 M.W. Harrison Street, Leesville, Louisiana 71446, with Rev. Joseph L. Garner officiating. Visitation: 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment: Leesville Memorial Cemetery.
- Sang Sun Hines, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Funeral services honoring this remarkable woman will be held at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville on Tuesday July 21, 2026 at 11:00 A.M., officiated by Pastor Kyutae Jeong. Burial will follow at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation hours are scheduled for Monday, July 20th from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M.
