JENNINGS, La. (KPLC) - A 28-year-old woman is in police custody after allegedly stabbing a man in the neck while he was asleep.
On July 16, the Jennings Police Department responded to an incident at a home on East Sumner Street, where a 58-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and hand.
Jetyrenne Williams, who was invited to stay at the home the night before, fled the scene, police said. Officers later found her a few blocks away and took her into custody.
Williams was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish Jail on one count of attempted second-degree murder. As of Thursday morning, her bond has not yet been set.
