- Mr. Michael Patrick Sowell, age E 1, a longtime resident of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Autumn Leaves Health Care Center in Henderson, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Attoyac Baptist Church, located at 600 FM 3316 in San Augustine County, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:D0 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Attoyac Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Green officiating. Interment. will follow at Attoyac Cemetery.
- A memorial service for Leila Susilawati Harris, 77, will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Many, Louisiana. A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Reverand Lonnie Crawford.

- Edward D. Trichel, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Minden, Louisiana, at the age of 85. Born on March 18, 1940, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Eddie Trichel and Loraine Gourdon Trichel. A graveside service honoring Edward's life will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Clear Lake Cemetery near Goldonna, Louisiana, starting at too PM. The family invites friends for visitation at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana, on January 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Brian Eugene Halstead, died on December 27, 2025, at the age of 56 in DeRidder, Louisiana. A funeral service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, with a public viewing prior to the service starting at 11:00 AM. Father Travis will officiate the service. Following the service, Brian will be laid to rest at 1:30 PM at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
