- Idell Haymon Hunter of Anacoco, LA made her journey to heaven on February 24, 2026, at the age of 98. Funeral services honoring the life of ldell Hunter will be held today, at Good Hope Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Reverends Michael Goins and Tinker Hillman officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service.
- George Michael Harvey, who left us peacefully on February 23, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on August 13, 1953, in Deridder, Louisiana. A Funeral Service will be held today, at 11:00am in the chapel of Smyrna Baptist Church. Brother Tim Lee will officiate the service.
- Kelle Diane Pruitt Cole, who entered eternal rest on February 24, 2026, at the age of 58. Kelle was born on September 4, 1967, in DeRidder, Louisiana. A public viewing will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home followed by a funeral service officiated by Brother Allen Bynog. Cremation will follow the services.
- Vergie Carpenter, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, in DeRidder, Louisiana, at the age of 85. Funeral visitation will be held today at the Labby memorial funeral home in Deridder from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services are Saturday at 1 p.m. also at Labby. Burial will follow the service in the Whitaker Cemetery.
- Jerry Green passed away February 22, 2026, at the age of 89. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, with Bro. John Northway officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 11:00 until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck, Louisiana.
- Lila Kathleen Chance, 50, of Leesville, LA passed away in the early morning February 17th, 2026. A memorial service celebrating Lila's life will be held at the Vernon Council on Aging Sunday, March 1st @ 2:00 PM with a reception following. Bro. Randall Bryan will be officiating.
- Betty Carolyn Gaskin Taylor, 77, of Anacoco, Louisiana, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Leesville, Louisiana. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM on March 7, 2026, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco, Louisiana.
