- Robert P. "Bobby" Brumley, 80, of Converse, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026. Born January 18, 1946, he was the son of the late Cecil and Marian Brumley. A memorial service celebrating the life of Bobby will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Converse, 211 W Caddo Ave, Converse, Louisiana. Family visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
- Hughie Welton Mixon, "Hugh," was born on July 24, 1939, in the Caddel Community of Broaddus, Texas, to Ernest Mixon and Min lie Mae Wimberley Mixon. He passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026. He graduated from Broaddus High School in 1957 and later attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in education. While in college, Hugh was an active member of the Future Education Majors Club and served as an officer. Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Harvey Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Wade Bryan and Bro. Lamar Denby officiating. Committal services will follow at Runnels Cemetery with Bro. Thomas Foster officiating.
- Joyce Denell Collins Weeks, 82, of Rosepine, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026. A public viewing will be held today at Rosepine United Pentecostal Church at 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest later that day at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Brother Gary Bankson and Brother Cole Weeks will officiate the service.
- Jerrell Dowden passed away at Byrd Hospital on February 7, 2026. He was 71 years old. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Bro. Jason Nolde and Bro. C.W. Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery.
- Velma Haney Cryer, 88, passed from this life on February 8, 2026. Born on August 27, 1937. Visitation will be held on February 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral services will take place on February 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Diamond Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Smith officiating. A burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery. Services are under the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder.

- Linda Estelle Larson Westeen was born October 18, 1940, passed away February 8, 2026, in Leesville, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held for Linda at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Leesville.
