- Michael "Mike" Paul Brown, 78, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from 11am-1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery. Rev. Nelson Santa Anna and Rev. Steve Thomas will officiate.
- Helga Becker Green, 87, of Leesville, passed away Peacefully at home on December 27, 2025. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 beginning at 12:00 PM with services following at 2:00 PM, both at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Her final resting place will be Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
- Betty JoAnn Spence Anderson, a beloved friend, devoted aunt, and passionate cook, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at the age of 93. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 31, 2025, at 11:00am in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home located in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Richard "Dick" Metz and Pastor Bill Smith will officiate the services. A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 31, 2025, at 10:00am until the service at 11:00am. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service on a later date in Converse, Louisiana.
- Jo-Etta Gay Richardson, 78, of DeRidder, LA, passed away on December 26, 2025. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2026, from 10am-1prn at Chaddick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, January 2, 2026, at 1pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rosepine Cemetery. Rev. George Lee Glass will officiate.
- Eugene Parson, who passed away on December 24, 2025, in Deridder, Louisiana at the age of 82. A funeral service will be held in honor of Eugene on January 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the New Testament Apostolic Church. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place at the church starting at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Eugene will be laid to rest in Beauregard Cemetery in Deridder, Louisiana.
- Peggy Salter Green, 88, of Rosepine, Louisiana. She passed away peacefully on Sunday. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Both services will be held at Myers—Colonial Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.
- Judy L. Summerell, 78, of Natchitoches, La., went peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, December 26, 2025. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2025, at the Hornbeck First Baptist Church with services starting at 1:00 pm.
- David Awa Mawae passed away at the age of 80. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5th from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
- Brian Eugene Halstead, died on December 27, 2025, at the age of 56 in DeRidder, Louisiana. A funeral service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, with a public viewing prior to the service starting at 11:00 AM. Father Travis will officiate the service. Following the service, Brian will be laid to rest at 1:30 PM at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
