- Funeral services for Martha Gill Roberts Pay, 93, of San Augustine will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel in San Augustine, Texas, with Rev. Rick Russell and Ryan Pay officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Liberty Hill Memorial Garden.
- Rick Eugene Pharris, age 68, of Mansfield, Louisiana, passed away on December 18, 2025. Funeral services celebrating Rick's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2026,
at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd, Keithville, Louisiana at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. - A memorial service for Leila Susilawati Harris, 77, will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 9891 Texas Hwy, Many, Louisiana. A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Reverand Lonnie Crawford.
- James Allen Stringer was born on July 16, 1959. He passed away peacefully at his home in Florien, La on December 19, 2025, at the age of 66. A memorial service will be held at Warren Meadows on January 7, 2026.
- A memorial service honoring the life of Robert "Bobby" Eugene Williams will be conducted by Warren Meadows Funeral Home and held at Florien First Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Florien First Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Brother Wayne Chance and Brother Bill Blackmon.

- Funeral services for Jimmy Reese Smith will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Simpson Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Grant and Bro. Rodney Helton officiating. Burial will follow in the Welcome Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
- Alice Mae Dorsey Jackson, beloved mother, Grandmother, and cherished friend, who left this world on December 19, 2025, at the age of 62. Funeral services to celebrate Alice's remarkable life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at11:00am in the chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home, Reverend Frank Williams will officiate. Public viewing will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am. Alice will be laid to rest in Beauregard Cemetery in Deridder, Louisiana.
- William Mark Sylvest passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 5:30 PM until the time of service at 6:30 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Ronnie Lalande will officiate the service.
- Eugene Parson, who passed away on December 24, 2025, in Deridder, Louisiana at the age of 82. Born on July 18, 1943, in Fredericktown, Missouri, Eugene dedicated much of his life to serving his country in the military, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. His commitment to duty and honor not only defined his career but also shaped the values he instilled in his family. Eugene was a man deeply devoted to his loved ones, his family will forever remember him as a steadfast figure, whose love knew no bounds and whose spirit will live on in their hearts. He is survived by his wife, Alice Parson; sons Ronald Parson (Laurie) of Cabot, AR, Mardis Parson of Granite City, IL, David Owings (Angela) of Deridder, LA, Steven Owings of Bushnell, Fl; daughters Jennie Spurgins (Jerry) of Pineville, LA, LaNell (Shelty) LeBleau of Basile, LA; grandchildren, Nicole, Adrianna, Jacob, Tiffiney (DJ), Alexander, Hollie (Nicole), Seth, Alex, Justina, Jerry James (Lacy), great grandchildren, Colton, Finley, Levi, Remington, Barrett, Shyanne, Aiden, Lori, Sofia, Calvin (Samuel), Jamie, Samuel, Sarah, Devienity and Leeland; Brothers; James Clifton and Bobby McDaniel, Sisters; Susan Madden and Sandy Hagan. Eugene was preceded in death by parents, Elmer Parson, Ethel Parson, late wife Sherrie Bromley Parson, Patsy Clifton, B.I_ Clifton, and Jacky Clifton.
- A funeral service will be held in honor of Eugene on January 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the New Testament Apostolic Churci. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place a.: the church starting at 10:00 AM, allowing friends, family, and members of the community to pay their respects and celebrate Eugene's remarkable life. Pallbearers will be David Owings, Ronnie Parson, Jerry James Hanes, Seth Leblue, Leeland Miller, Jonathan Ozane, with alternate pallbearer Mards Parson. Following the service, Eugene will be laid to rest in Beauregard Cemetery in Deridder, Louisiana.
